SUMMER DATES COMING- TO BE POSTED BY APRIL 1ST

SpeedCamp 2011 is our biggest and best Speedcamp ever, with racing at two venues featuring three different style of racecars. It starts with a huge day of road racing in Porsches and amazing Formula cars with the Formula Drivetech Racing School at the famous Firebird Raceway. Then the Drivetech Racing School will teach you the fine art of short track racing at one of America’s most famous short tracks, Tucson Raceway Park. Drivetech's proven formula of teaching and lapping will have you ready for an afternoon of door handle to door handle racing in the now FAMOUS Drivetech Racing Series which will have you racing against other students at the track that launched the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Drivetech Racing Series will take you through a morning of race preparation and then you are going racing that afternoon!! The Drivetech Racing Series is the official racing school of ASA racing, and you'll get your chance to race against each other at the track that launched great NASCAR racers to super stardom. Kevin Harvick, Greg Biffle and many more great racecar drivers all spent time in lower series at Tucson Raceway Park. A huge day of racing with Formula Drivetech at Firebird Raceway and then real short track racing at Tucson Raceway Park, it is going to be AWESOME!!

Day One:
Chandler, AZ
Start with breakfast and an introduction into the dynamics of road racing at the famous Firebird Raceway in Chandler, AZ, right outside of Phoenix. A brief description of areas covered will be vehicle dynamics, proper apexing, trail breaking, setting up a pass, proper passing, etc. This orientation is just a brief one hour introduction as the curriculum focuses on track time, and feedback after every track session. There's no substitute for seat time and immediate review with an instructor, we'll make sure that you get plenty of each throughout your amazing day of road racing at Firebird Raceway.

After your breakfast and race introduction you'll get into the Porsche Boxsters for your first round of on track racing at Firebird. After a couple of rounds pacing in the Boxsters we'll get you into the power and performance of the Chevrolet Corvettes. The wide open spaces of Firebird provide a great proving ground for both of these cars. Firebird Raceway is also a great track for our finely tuned Formula cars, the Formula cars are second to none for amazing corner speeds. At just 1200lbs the cars are amazingly nimble and light on their feet, they prove to be the perfect platform for really working on your road racing abilities. If you excel with the precision and performance of the Formula cars we'll get you behind the wheel of one of our specially prepared road racing Nascar style racecars. These cars prove to be a great challenge to hustle around the track, and they are nothing short of amazing when you get it right and the brutal torque of that NASCAR racecar rips you up off the corner. You will spend over 75 minutes in the racecar with individual reviews with your instructor after each high speed run on the racetrack. It is a spectacular day of road racing at the track. You can find more information on all of our road racing packages at www.formuladrivetech.com

Racing will wrap up at about 3pm, you will be transported back to the comfort of the La Quinta Inn for a night of rest. You are going to need it as we are going NASCAR style racing tomorrow.

Day Two: Tucson, AZ.
You'll start with breakfast and a brief introduction into the art and skill of driving a NASCAR style racecar at one of the most famous short tracks in America, Tucson Raceway Park.  TRP is famous for its progressive banking that allows racers to compete side by side lap after lap. The Drivetech Racing Series has a proven system of taking an average race fan and getting them up to speed and ready to compete with each other.  You'll get over 75 laps of track time before lunch, including some high speed lead follow with your instructor and some side by side racing with the students that you will never forget. You will be put through a series of experiences with each one building towards our ultimate goal of getting you ready to go racing at the legendary Tucson Raceway Park. After our 75 laps of morning practice, we'll break briefly for lunch and get ready to go racing
this afternoon.

You'll warm up with a quick 15 lap final practice after lunch and then it's time to go racing. For those drivers wanting to take part in the incredible thrill and adrenaline rush of racing, really racing head to head this afternoon will be that once in a lifetime opportunity.  You will be in actual races with 4-6 drivers in each race!! (Drivers uncomfortable with the racing option or not feeling ready for the racing experience, can certainly choose to continue lapping without the racing component.) TRP is the perfect venue for your first racing experience, the progressive bank really helps you to get the car around the speedway The track is wide and fast, but not a place where you will usually get into trouble. We'll start with a quick 8 lap heat. After a review of the heat and your feedback on the real racing format, we'll finish the day with two 15 lap features. The proven Drivetech Racing Series format should truly be something to remember at Phoenix International Raceway!! Drivetech will provide transportation back to the hotel or airport transfers beginning at 5pm on the 18th.
