DriveTech Racing School

Drivetech gives you professional, personal attention, top-notch instruction and lots of driving time. Our students typically drive more than at other schools offering similar programs, equipment and tracks.

Even if this is your first time in a racecar you can take any class except Hot Laps, which is reserved for our graduates. The vast majority of students are first-timers, so you'll fit right in. No special skills are required to take a class other than the ability to operate a manual transmission.

Classes begin with a one-hour Drivers Meeting that covers instruction in driving techniques, safety procedures and everything else necessary to prepare you. The meeting begins with a narrated van ride around the track to show you the racing line and other track features and ends in the classroom. Then it's straight to your car! A crewmember buckles you in, checks your radio, and gives the thumbs up sign to your Instructor. You'll start your engine, hear that V8 roar, and pull onto the track!

Short Track: 5 Laps

Speedway: 4 Laps

Super Speedway: 3 Laps

These laps are used to warm-up the racecar, and to get you comfortable and up to speed as quickly as possible. EXAMPLE: If you purchase Green Flag package for 26 laps, the first 4 laps will be run as warm up and drills. Then 22 laps will be run under the green flag for a total of 26 laps

All track time in minutes is guaranteed.
Lap counts are a very accurate estimate, but will vary based on track configuration and driver ability.

Qualifications:

All drivers must be 18 years of age or older, with a valid drivers license to experience the thrill of driving a NASCAR racecar. If you're a thrill seeker and would like to go for a ride-along with one of our pros, you must be at least 10 years old. GOOD LUCK and HOLD ON!!

Insurance:

For your protection, an insurance policy is available for $60.00 that covers damage to the racecar resulting from driver error, subject to a $1000.00 deductible.

Reservations& Refunds:

There is a $50 processing fee for postponing indefinitely or rescheduling a class thirty-one (31) or more days prior to the class date. If you postpone indefinitely or reschedule your class thirty (30) or fewer days prior to the class date, you will forfeit fifty percent (50%) of your class fee. No cancellations or rescheduling allowed within 7 days of the event. Substitution of an otherwise-qualified driver to avoid this penalty is permitted. on.

This is the class for those who just want to say, I did it! You'll spend 20 minutes on the track, about twice as much as comparably-priced classes elsewhere.

GREEN FLAG
formerly Racing Adventure
Drive for 30 minutes. During the session the clock is stopped for a mandatory pit stop, giving you a brief rest from the intensity of the track. In the pits the crew will bring water to you and quickly check your car. Before you know it, you're back on the track. Now you're really getting the feel of the car. Your speed is climbing and your lap times are dropping!

CHECKERED FLAG

Here you'll get a full 40 minutes of driving plus two pit stops. This is a lot of driving at one time - longer than many actual races. If you want to know what your favorite stock car driver does you won't get any closer than this. When it's over you'll be ready for a celebration and eager to come back for more.

RACE DAY
formerly Championship Adventure
Available in a one day session, you'll get 60 minutes of seat time per day, divided into three driving sessions. You'll spend the time between sessions working with your instructor, talking to the crew and observing other drivers. It's a typical day at the track for a race car driver. The lesson plan varies according to the student population, the track and track conditions. Activities can include one-on-one pursuit with an instructor, side-by-side running and race starts. Most of all, there's plenty of high speed driving.

Hot Laps-for Graduates Only!
Our best value! Drivetech graduates can return and drive more laps under an instructor's supervision. It's almost a private lesson, but costs no more than a regular class! The experience you got in earlier classes really pays off here. Drive for 20 or 30 minutes with pit stops for rest.

Side By Side Ride with a Pro - NEW
Ride Shotgun with one of our Instructors as he races side-by-side with another instructor!! This is as real as it gets, you’ll experience racing through the corners separated by less than 2 feet. You’ll pass another ride car and be passed coming off the corner, at our bigger racetracks you’ll even experience the draft!! Racing Ride-Alongs!! You’ll never forget it.

Ride with a Pro
Take a high-speed ride in the passenger seat of a race car driven by an Instructor. Great for people who are at the track to see someone else drive. $99, 3-6 laps depending on track.

You'll get more driving for your money at Drivetech, often 50 to 100% more than at other schools.

Rescheduling fee of $50 if 15 or more days before class, 50% of tuition if 14 days or less before class.
